This fine example of 1950s Detroit car design technique by hand. The quick expression of the form of the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting-Ray Coupe is brought to life with the addition of light and reflective color. The use of french curves, ellipse templates and straight edges help to insure sensitive body forms are express with the utmost care in the proportions to each other. Media: Color Pencil, Pastel and Gouache on black board. Note: the name and the graphic stripes are digital additions and not on the 18x24 original.
